"Shekel News", launched 13 September 2009, is a blog that chronicles the stock movements on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE).
The website is updated, Sunday through Thursday, the days of operation of the TASE.
The articles and the website itself are edited and wrote by Barry Davidson. Mr. Davidson is photography and media enthusiast, whose interests include graphics, taking photos, writing about Israeli business, her politics and her music industry.
Since its inception, "Shekel News" is growing. As of 3 October 2009, the website has over 400 daily followers on Twitter.
Advertising on "Shekel News" will be from affiliate programs with companies related to the financial industry, Israel interest, and the International Jewish and Zionist communities. Currently, "Shekel News" fetures ads from Google AdSense and Amazon.com.
