Tel Aviv--Ahad HaAm Street saw this Thursday bringing positive closing of the markets on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE).
Bonds markets were flat today, however.
This comes on the heals of early closing of markets in the U.S. and Europe.
24 December is the eve of Christmas for Christians who do not follow the Greek Orthodox sect.
Markets throughout Europe and the U.S. closed early on this religious holiday eve.
In Israel, where most of the population is Jewish and Muslim, markets were open throughout the business day.
At the close of Thurdays stock markets on the TASE, the General index closed at 965.93, up 1.16%. The TA-25 index closed at 1,146.28, up 1.45%. The TA-100 index closed at 1,069.16, up 1.46%. The TA-75 index closed at 812.02, up 1.70%. The Tel-Tech 15 index closed at 237.74, up 1.49%. The Finance-15 index closed at 1,220.39, up 1.73%. The Estate-15 index closed at 304.82, up 0.79%. The TA-Banks index closed at 1,333.26, up 1.21%. The Tel - Div 20 index closed at 1,323.14, up 1.31%. The Maala index closed at 987.60, up 1.42%. The Mid-Cap 50 index closed at 421.52, up 1.78%. The Mid Cap-120 index closed at 829.24, up 1.02%. The Yeter-Rest of Shares & Convertibles index closed at 907.83, up 0.30%.
Turning to bonds trading at the close of the Thursday's markets on the TASE, the All Bonds index closed at 244.79, down 0.02%. The CPI Linked Government Bonds (Galil) index closed at 248.02, down 0.03%. The Non-Linked Government Bonds index closed at 291.91, down 0.07%. The Non-Linked, Fixed Interest, Gov. Bonds (Shahar) index closed at 319.42, down 0.09%. The Non-Linked , Floating Interest, Gov. Bonds (Gilon) index closed at 252.73, up 0.02%. The Tel-Bond 20 index closed at 245.27, up 0.11%. The Tel-Bond 40 index closed at 235.73, down 0.11%. The Tel-Bond 60 index closed at 241.18, up 0.01%. The Tel Bond-Shekel index closed at 242.93, down 0.08%. The CPI-Linked Non-Government Bonds index closed at 241.99, up 0.02%. The Currency-Linked, Non-Government Bonds index closed at 170.44, up 0.08%. The Short Term Treasury Bill index closed at 250.75, down 0.01%.
