Tel Aviv--The markets started the week on a sour note on Ahad HaAm Street today.
Stocks on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) were down at the close of today's active trading.
This comes on the heels of mixed results at Friday's close of New York Markets.
At the outset of the Friday markets in New York City, the Nasdaq closed at 2190.31, down 0.03%, with trading nearly flat.
However, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 10471.50, up 0.63%.
But, this could not change the negative closings on today's TASE.
At the close of Sunday's TASE markets, the General index closed at 936.66, down 0.24%. The TA-25 index closed at 1,119.68, down 0.23%. The TA-100 index closed at 1,036.30, down 0.26%. The TA-75 index closed at 763.96, down 0.27%. The Tel-Tech 15 index closed at 227.01, down 0.18%. The Finance-15 index closed at 1,176.35, down 0.33%. The Estate-15 index closed at 300.99, down 0.61%. The TA-Banks index closed at 1,277.84, down 0.41%. The Tel - Div 20 index closed at 1,275.45, down 0.53%. The Maala index closed at 958.67, down 0.25%. The Mid-Cap 50 index closed at 390.07, down 1.45%. The Mid Cap-120 index closed at 776.58, down 1.11%. The Yeter-Rest of Shares & Convertibles index closed at 883.28, down 0.59%.
Turning to the bonds trading on the TASE at the close of Sunday's markets, the All Bonds index closed at 245.81, down 0.17%. The CPI Linked Government Bonds (Galil) index closed at 249.60, down 0.31%. The Non-Linked Government Bonds closed at 292.98, down 0.17%. The Non-Linked, Fixed Interest, Gov. Bonds (Shahar) closed at 321.01, down 0.25%. The Non-Linked , Floating Interest, Gov. Bonds (Gilon) index closed at 252.64, up 0.09%. The Tel-Bond 20 index closed at 247.80, down 0.31%. The Tel-Bond 40 index closed at 236.03, down 0.33%. The Tel-Bond 60 index closed at 242.64, down 0.32%. The Tel Bond-Shekel index closed at 246.64, down 0.14%. The CPI-Linked Non-Government Bonds index closed at 242.67, down 0.19%. The Currency-Linked, Non-Government Bonds index closed at 170.85, up 0.32%. The Short Term Treasury Bill index closed at 250.79, up 0.01%.
